1. Introduction
Burbank Sportscards ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Burbank Sportscards mobile application and related services (collectively, the "App").
BY USING THE APP, YOU CONSENT TO THE DATA PRACTICES DESCRIBED IN THIS POLICY. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THIS POLICY, DO NOT USE THE APP.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
We collect information you voluntarily provide, including:
• Full name, email address, phone number, and mailing address
• Account preferences and notification settings
• Messages and communications with our support team
• Profile information you provide when creating or updating your account
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the App, we automatically collect:
• Device type, operating system version, and device identifiers (such as your Expo push notification token)
• App usage data, screens viewed, features used, and time spent
• Purchase and order history
• Search queries entered within the App
• Crash reports, performance data, and diagnostic information
• Session recordings and interaction data (taps, scrolls, navigation patterns) captured via LogRocket
2.3 Information from Third Parties
We may receive information about you from:
• Shopify, our e-commerce platform, including account details, order history, and partial payment information (such as the last four digits of your payment card)
• Smile.io, our loyalty and rewards platform, including points balance and VIP tier status
• LogRocket, our session analytics provider, including aggregated usage and performance data
2.4 In-Store and Event Recording
When you visit our physical store locations or attend events associated with Burbank Sportscards, we may collect your image, likeness, and voice through photography, video recording, or other capture methods. Please see Section 8 of our Terms of Use for additional details regarding our recording practices and your consent.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
• Create and manage your account and process transactions
• Provide, maintain, and improve the App and its features
• Facilitate checkout and payment processing through Shopify
• Send transactional notifications, including order confirmations, shipping updates, and delivery alerts
• Send push notifications based on your selected preferences (daily product drops, sealed product releases, delivery updates, and blog posts)
• Operate and manage the Collector's Club loyalty and rewards program via Smile.io
• Record and replay user sessions through LogRocket to diagnose issues, improve usability, and optimize features
• Analyze App usage and search patterns to improve our products and services
• Personalize your experience, including VIP tier benefits and product recommendations
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions and abuse
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms
• Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
• Search queries and applied filteers may be associated with your account to improve search quality and analyze product demand. This data is stored on our servers and is not shared with third parties.
• Use recordings of your likeness, image, or voice for social media, marketing, and other commercial purposes as described in our Terms of Use
4. How We Share Your Information
4.1 With Shopify
Shopify powers our customer authentication, product catalog, checkout, payment processing, and order fulfillment. Shopify receives your account information, shipping address, payment details, and order history. Burbank Sportscards does not directly collect or store your full payment card information — all payment processing is handled by Shopify and its payment partners. Shopify's data practices are governed by its own privacy policy, available at shopify.com/legal/privacy.
4.2 With Smile.io
To operate our Collector's Club loyalty and rewards program, we share your name, email address, purchase history, and related account information with Smile.io. Smile.io may use this information to manage your rewards account, calculate points and VIP tier status, and send you rewards-related communications. Smile.io's data practices are governed by its own privacy policy, available at smile.io/privacy-policy.
4.3 With LogRocket
To monitor and improve App performance and usability, we share session data — including interaction recordings, screen content, and device information — with LogRocket. When you are logged in, your name, email address, and VIP tier may be associated with your session recording to help us diagnose account-specific issues. LogRocket processes this data on our behalf and in accordance with its own privacy policy, available at logrocket.com/privacy. You may opt out of LogRocket data collection through the App (see Section 7.6).
4.4 With Expo
We use Expo's push notification service to deliver notifications to your device. Expo receives your device push token in order to route notifications. Expo's data practices are governed by its own privacy policy, available at expo.dev/privacy.
4.5 With Other Service Providers
We may share information with additional third-party vendors and service providers who assist us in operating the App, including cloud hosting providers, customer support tools, and operational services. These parties access your data only as necessary to perform services on our behalf.
4.6 Business Transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or prominent notice within the App prior to such a transfer.
4.7 Legal Requirements and Protection
We may disclose your information if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to:
• Comply with applicable laws, regulations, subpoenas, or court orders
• Enforce our Terms of Service or other agreements
• Protect the rights, property, or safety of Burbank Sportscards, our users, or others
• Detect and prevent fraud, security breaches, or technical issues
4.8 With Your Consent
We may share your information for other purposes with your explicit consent.
4.9 With Sentry
Sentry — Crash and error reporting provider. Collects crash reports, performance data, device information (OS, device model, app version), and session diagnostics. No personally identifiable information is sent to Sentry. Data is used solely for app stability monitoring and bug resolution.
5. Tracking and Analytics Technologies
We do not track you across third-party apps or websites for advertising purposes. The App does not use advertising identifiers, and we do not participate in ad networks or sell your data to data brokers.
We use the following technologies within the App:
• Local storage (AsyncStorage and SecureStore): To store your authentication tokens (encrypted), app preferences, notification settings, cached product data, and saved searches. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to third parties.
• LogRocket SDK: To record anonymized or identified session replays for quality assurance and bug diagnosis. See Sections 4.3 and 7.6.
• Analytics events: To understand feature usage, search patterns, and app performance. Analytics data is sent to our servers and is not shared with third parties for advertising.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We may retain certain information even after you delete your account as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, including fraud prevention.
Push notification tokens are removed from our servers when you log out or delete your account. Cached data stored locally on your device is cleared upon logout.
7. Your Rights and Choices
7.1 Access and Correction
You may access and update your account information — including your name, email, phone number, and address — through the App by navigating to Profile > Settings > Profile. For other requests, contact us at info@burbankcards.com.
7.2 Account Deletion
You may delete your account directly within the App by navigating to Profile > Settings > Profile > Delete Account. Upon deletion, your account data — including notification preferences and activity history — will be permanently removed. Certain information may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes. You may also request deletion by contacting info@burbankcards.com; such requests may take up to 30 days to process.
7.3 California Residents (CCPA)
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including:
• The right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used
• The right to delete personal information
• The right to opt out of the sale of personal information
• The right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights
**We do not sell your personal information.** To submit a CCPA request, contact info@burbankcards.com.
7.4 Marketing Opt-Out
You may opt out of marketing emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. You may not opt out of transactional or service-related communications (such as order confirmations and shipping updates).
7.5 Push Notifications
You may manage push notification categories within the App by navigating to Profile > Notification Preferences. Available categories include daily product drops, sealed product releases, delivery updates, and blog posts. Each category can be independently enabled or disabled. You may also disable all push notifications through your device's system settings.
7.6 Analytics and Session Recording Opt-Out
You may opt out of analytics data collection and LogRocket session recording at any time through the App by navigating to Profile > Settings > Usage Data. When analytics are disabled, the App will not send usage events to our servers or record session data via LogRocket. This setting is stored locally on your device and takes effect immediately.
7.7 Rewards Communications Opt-Out
You may opt out of rewards and loyalty-related emails from Smile.io by clicking the unsubscribe link in any such communication or by contacting us at info@burbankcards.com. Note that opting out of rewards emails may affect your ability to receive rewards notifications.
7.7 Search History
When you search for products in the App, your search queries and applied filtesr may be stored and associated with your account to improve search quality and analyze product demand. This data is stored on our serveres and is not shared with thir parties. You may request deltion of your search histroy by contacting info@burbankcards.com . Search history is also permanently deleted when you delete your account (Section 7.2)
8. Data Security
We implement commercially reasonable technical, administrative, and physical security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Authentication tokens are stored using encrypted on-device storage (SecureStore). All network communications use HTTPS encryption.
However, NO SECURITY SYSTEM IS IMPENETRABLE. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data. You use the App at your own risk.
In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.
9. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at info@burbankcards.com and we will take steps to delete such information.
10. Third-Party Links and Services
The App may contain links to third-party websites and services, including but not limited to blog articles on burbankcards.com, FAQ and policy pages, and external account management portals. This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party services, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through the App, including:
• Shopify: shopify.com/legal/privacy
• Smile.io: smile.io/privacy-policy
• LogRocket: logrocket.com/privacy
• Expo: expo.dev/privacy
11. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than the country in which you reside, including the United States. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from your home country. By using the App, you consent to such transfers.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy in the App and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
